Soqquadro Art Design Limited - Soqquadro - aims to restore the inspiration and spirit that in the early Sixties nurtured the birth and rise of Italian Design, made of intimate professional relationship and intense participation between some young architects and small specialised manufacturing workshops

 

Our designs well from a simple and functional idea and start to build up until they become concrete, in a continuous process of exchange of knowledge between the designer and local craftsmen. We believe that design objects and furniture pieces must be inspired by the attempt to find new esthetical and functional answers to real needs and day to day habits

 

Investing in unique products notwithstanding predominant homologation across the industries and, most of all, inventing hybrid and flexible designs, open to multi-fold utilisations, are therefore Soqquadro’s main objectives

 

The craftsmanship we refer to “is” and “is not” the same of fifty years ago or so: it “is” the same for the jealously kept concepts of small and experimental workshop and hand-made customised production; on the other hand it “is not” the same as information technology and innovations have amplified production possibilities and competitiveness  

 

Thus, Soqquadro’s philosophy and modus operandi stand firm on four main concepts / pillars: conceptual simplicity, hybrid and multifunctional design, uniqueness of products and new craftsmanship
